The Right Loop Sensor for the Job

FEIG’s portfolio includes 1-, 2-, and 4-channel induction loop sensors. While simple vehicle detection for automatically opening industrial door barriers is possible with 1-channel sensors, more complex tasks require more channels. A 2-channel sensor enables capture of information about the direction of travel. Situational traffic management requires 4 channels. In such cases, two double loops can be used to map two lanes and realize TLS-compliant vehicle classification in 8+1 classes.
